Buckmore Junior Club 11-16 Summer Round 1 (Summer Series)

I first met Kieran Tison as I do so many of you, through the Kart School and he made an instant impression on me as a guy worth keeping an eye on as he had oodles of raw talent. This was borne out in heat one when he powered up the order from the midfield to secure the first win of the day in style. James Dennison started from second and doggedly held the place for all five laps and up to the line. Alex Nevill put in a great performance too as he pushed his kart to the limit to slip by seven fellow competitors to take third. Right behind him came Harry Tavare who has improved vastly over the last few months. Harry started 12th on the grid but made it to fourth. There is a new name to conjure with in fifth place and that is Aymane Yacine to whom I owe an apology for such bad pronunciation on the Tannoy. Every time I looked at the name my tongue became a six feet long and I’d trip over it. Aymane Yacine; see, I can do it now. Welcome anyway Aymane to the club.
The penultimate race produced another good result for Ivan May-Jones who maximised his pole start and converted it into a full sixteen points by winning by the very slim margin of two tenths. The guy doing all the chasing was Aymane Yacine the mean machine. He was in turn pursued by Jesse Chamberlain a driver that makes the Mighty Midget seem tall. Stephen Harrison notched up another mention for fourth and Star Pupil 2007 Alice Goad gets a round of applause for fifth.
After a couple of really lack lustre karts in the heats fortunes reversed in the finals for Kieran Tison who was able to recoup his earlier losses. He won the B final with relative ease and moved back into waters in which he is more at home, the A final. Next over the B final finish line was Alex Nevill who just got there in time to prevent Harry Tavare from catching and passing him. James Dennison found some vacant tarmac in which to secure his fourth place with time to spare before Matt Salmon crossed for fifth. Next it was Matt Tiffin with Luke Pattison, Ryan Cummings, Reece Cannell, Aymayne Yacine, Reiss Leconte, Alice Goad and Joe Robson streaming over the line to complete the order.
