'Watch out!' I shouted to the crew, 'There’s a driverless kart going flat out up the straight'. They swiftly pointed out that it might look like that from behind but it was actually in the control of the very aerodynamic Jesse Chamberlain. Jesse took the win from P2 and built a five second lead. Aymane Yacine started way down the road, Canterbury I think it was, but he managed to work his way right up the order to take second. Matt Tiffin has suffered from a medical condition know as growth spurtitus over the last year which is not doing him any favours against the pint sized jockeys now inhabiting the place. In truth he’s in serious danger of standing on one of them and I think a move to the adult sector is on the cards. Anyway, despite weighing in way over the average, and this is height not beer gut, he managed to hang on for third. Stephen Harrison enjoyed a good race coming up from ninth to fourth where he beat Murray Sheep Shank to the line by a tenth. The penalty board was again dusted down in the B final, this time for Luke Pattinson for accumulated contact warnings. This rearranged the lower reaches of the leader board but left the front untouched. The win and thus the promotion to the A was taken by Jamie Cummings by a very comfortable margin over Jay Rudd while Harry Sutton gained a place to finish fourth, one place clear of Conor Jux-Chandler. I was impressed but honestly not too surprised to see Stuart Anderson up to sixth after moving up from the C final but had he not got a bit knocked about and squeezed in this race it could well have been a place or two higher. Rhys Terry led the rest from seventh where he was followed by Sam Babington, Oliver Crouch, Tom Hill, Aymane Yacine, David Lathrope and Luke Pattinson.
